Must:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with proven experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering within cloud-based environments. You should have a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps is essential. Experience with AWS cloud engineering is required, while familiarity with Azure is beneficial. You should also possess a practical understanding of cloud security, identity management, and IAM best practices. Additionally, we expect familiarity with observability tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, and Cribl, as well as experience working in agile delivery teams contributing to iterative development processes.
Responsibilities
As our DevOps Engineer, you will be integral in designing and operating the cloud platforms that enable digital transformation within the NHS. You will deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and support the design and implementation of build, deployment, and automation pipelines across development, test, and production environments. Your role will involve managing and optimizing cloud environments, primarily in AWS, implementing IAM, networking, and security configurations compliant with NHS security policies and Entra (Azure AD) integration. You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, increasing delivery speed and reliability. Additionally, you will develop automation tools and scripts to streamline operations, implement monitoring and observability solutions, and work collaboratively within an agile team to support continuous delivery and improvement.
Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global IT Consultancy on a critical initiative to develop a unified, secure digital identity and access management solution for NHS and social care staff. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary delivery team to enhance the authentication, single sign-on, and access capabilities across the healthcare landscape. SC Clearance is required for this role, and the position is largely remote with occasional visits to Leeds for sprint reviews and planning. The initial contract duration is for 6 months at a competitive daily rate.
