Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of experience in Atlassian solution delivery and application engineering
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence upgrades, migrations, and consolidations
- Atlassian technical migration accreditation and certifications
- Experience performing technical assessments and health checks
- Certification in the administration of Jira and Confluence instances
- Experience in administration of Atlassian products like Bitbucket and Bamboo
- Ability to configure Jira Service Management solutions, including queues and SLAs
- Knowledge of API and scripting for solution delivery between Jira and other applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation tooling for application upgrades and testing
Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and optimize Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
- Lead and deliver Atlassian platform upgrades, migrations, and system consolidations with minimal disruption
- Perform technical assessments and health checks of Atlassian environments, recommending improvements
- Design and configure Jira Service Management solutions, including workflows, queues, SLAs, and automation rules
- Develop and maintain integrations between Atlassian tools and third-party systems using APIs and scripting
- Implement and support CI/CD automation for application upgrades, testing, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define workflows, custom fields, reporting dashboards, and marketplace add-ons
- Provide technical guidance and support across Agile, DevOps, and ITSM-aligned delivery environments
Description
We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Application Engineer to support a major UK Government project. This hybrid role is based in Telford, requiring 2 days a week in the office. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Atlassian tools to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for critical public sector services. This position is ideal for a hands-on specialist with proven experience in delivering Atlassian platforms in complex enterprise environments. Candidates must be willing and eligible to go through SC clearance for this role.
