Requirements
Must:
We are seeking a skilled 3rd Line Messaging Engineer who possesses the following qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
- Knowledge of X400 messaging
- Knowledge of Nexor DSA
- Knowledge of X500 addressing and address book replication
- Knowledge and experience in UNIX scripting
- Experience with Interoperable C4I Services (ICS)
- Experience with Oracle 8-10g
- Experience with Solaris 10
- Experience with UNIX / HP-UX
- Desirable - or willing to learn - Microsoft Exchange 2003
- Desirable - or willing to learn - Microsoft Server 2003
- Desirable - or willing to learn - Active Directory
- Desirable - or willing to learn - VMWare V5 / V5.5
- Desirable - or willing to learn - ITIL
- Candidates must be willing and eligible to go through SC and DV clearance for this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Incident management: logging, triaging, and assigning incidents using the required toolsets, managing each incident to resolution, and keeping the incident record updated according to agreed work instructions. You will escalate issues when necessary.
- Problem management: conducting detailed investigations on ongoing Problem Records, collating data from various sources, and providing expert analysis.
- Monitoring, investigating, and resolving any issues related to the Nexor X500 DSA.
- Monitoring, investigating, and resolving any issues with the Exchange 2003 Messaging system.
- Communicating and collaborating with the customer, who serves as an intermediary for the end-user.
