Requirements
Must:
- Strong technical knowledge in Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
- Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, and WSUS
- Experience with VMware virtualization
- Familiarity with backup technologies (NetApp SAN and Cohesity)
- Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Operations
- Skills in scripting and automation
- Previous experience in a similar 2nd line or infrastructure support role is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Windows infrastructure in a secure environment
- Handle customer requests and provide timely responses
- Build and deploy servers, primarily on VMware
- Maintain documentation, automation, and gold images
- Carry out patching, upgrades, and system maintenance
- Resolve incidents within SLA targets
- Support data center activities, including physical server builds
- Monitor capacity and report on resource utilization
- Contribute to engineering meetings and discussions
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Assist with testing and projects
- Proactively identify and escalate risks or issues
Description
We are a dedicated team looking for a 2nd Line WINTEL Engineer to join us onsite in Stevenage. We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £44,000 per annum along with a comprehensive benefits package. In this role, you will be integral to maintaining the security and efficiency of our Windows infrastructure.
