Additionally, you should have experience maintaining and improving legacy or organically grown PHP systems, with an eye for documentation and progressive refactoring. Finally, you must be able to handle long-term project commitments, preferring stability and continuous improvement over short-term projects.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to take full ownership of assigned projects, proactively driving progress, quality, and delivery. You will act as a key client liaison, participating in regular client calls, gathering feedback, and maintaining strong professional relationships. Working independently and remotely, you will maintain excellent communication with internal teams and clients. I need you to demonstrate a consultancy mindset, understanding client goals and business contexts, adapting solutions accordingly. You will proactively identify opportunities for progressive improvement in custom-built PHP systems, even with limited documentation. It is crucial that you manage your work effectively in a dynamic environment using Kanban methodology, balancing feature development and reactive bug fixes. Open and constructive communication is key, as I expect you to respond well to feedback and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Lastly, I would like you to mentor teammates not just on technical skills but also on ownership, client management, and best practices.
