Requirements
Must:
We require several years of experience with .Net Framework 4.5, .Net Core, .Net 6 or above, C#, and Cloud technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE is essential. You should possess a strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and Agile methodologies. Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud) is needed, along with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. You must be able to convey technical solutions to a non-technical audience and work with legacy systems while driving modernization. Familiarity with SQL, Blazor & Blazor patterns, SignalR, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Python, MAUI, as well as experience with database technologies (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and ORM frameworks is required. Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and deployment strategies is also necessary. Additionally, we expect you to hold a full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle.
Desirable skills include familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), as well as experience in the retail/hospitality or gaming/gambling sectors.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for server-side development, building robust APIs and services to support front-end functionality. You will engage in front-end development, creating user-friendly interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications. Your role also includes database management, where you will design and optimize schemas and queries for efficient data handling. You'll collaborate with designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, optimize performance, and implement best practices for security and data protection. Writing unit and integration tests to ensure reliability, working with cross-functional teams to deliver software on time, maintaining clear documentation for APIs, services, and processes, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends are also key responsibilities.
