Requirements
Must:
- An understanding of LAMP, PHP, Symfony2, MySQL, Linux, Apache, JavaScript, PHPUnit, Git, YouTrack, PHPStorm, and GitHub.
- Programming experience, ideally in PHP 7.4 or higher.
- Experience in/understanding of object-oriented design & patterns.
- Experience in creating database-driven applications.
- Experience in version control systems.
- Good understanding of web application security.
- Good understanding of testing.
- Passion for open-source technology.
Responsibilities
- Take on our current internal bespoke software (HUB) and maintain its current functions.
- Review user tickets and resolve any issues or user errors on HUB, including reviewing and updating existing code (testing prior to going live).
- Find ways to incorporate information from multiple departments in a simple, easy-to-review way.
- Listen to users and find solutions to ensure efficient working and use of HUB.
- Identify and review scripts/codes that could be written to reduce laborious work across the business, increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Have monthly meetings with management to ensure pre-agreed goals are being worked towards and met.
- Make user-friendly interfaces, focusing on ease of use from all levels.
- Create client portals to develop the brand and enhance our reputation.
- Develop the IT role and find ways to make it more integral.
- Perform any other duties necessary to ensure the full discharge of assigned responsibilities requested by your manager.
- Work in a safe manner following company procedures, 14001 Environmental, 9001 Quality, and statutory H&S regulations.
