Requirements
Must:
- Deep understanding of computer systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Ability to design and implement security architectures.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
- Experience working within the UK MOD.
- Multiple years of experience working on Defence systems.
- Qualifications: CISSP (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Designing Security Architecture for ICT capabilities in line with Secure by Design.
- Ensuring that security architectures align with the clients overall business strategy and technology goals.
- Identifying, assessing, and communicating current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending security technologies and solutions to mitigate identified threats.
- Defining, implementing, and maintaining corporate security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Developing incident response plans and coordinating efforts to detect, analyse, and respond to security incidents.
- Effectively communicating complex security concepts, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders including senior management.
