Requirements
Must:
- At least 4-6 years of experience in the CRM domain and 3 years of experience in Salesforce implementations, with sound knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
- Proficiency in Apex Code including triggers, classes, test methods, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and other relevant Salesforce platform technologies.
- Good level of experience with CI/CD processes.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party systems such as OAuth and REST.
- Strong understanding of custom development best practices, governor limits, and security considerations within the Salesforce platform.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in defining and delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce platform.
- Strong advocate for customer success with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I is required, and Salesforce Platform Developer II is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing Salesforce enhancements, administration, and support.
- Identify and implement Salesforce workflow improvements.
- Ensure data issues are identified, and root causes are addressed.
- Liaise with third-party development teams.
- Conduct functionality walkthroughs for new enhancements for existing and new staff.
Description
We are an organization in the Higher Education sector, seeking a Salesforce Developer for a permanent role based in Birmingham, offering a salary range of £55,000-£65,000. This position requires an in-office presence at our central Birmingham offices for 2 days per week, which is conveniently located less than a 10-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station, with the remainder of the work being remote. The Salesforce Developer will closely collaborate with key internal stakeholders to successfully set up and maintain the Salesforce platform, while also working with third-party providers. This role is crucial in managing the platform that is key to delivering high-quality customer service and an exceptional student experience. Major challenges include ensuring a consistent student experience, maintaining stable Salesforce platform development using APEX, VisualForce, workflows, triggers, and identifying process improvements within an evolving landscape.
