Must:
As a Senior Systems Developer, we are looking for individuals who ideally possess a Level 5 IT or development qualification (or equivalent experience). You should have a strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and T-SQL. Experience in database design, API development, and system integration is essential. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and support junior developers. It would be desirable to have a postgraduate qualification or Microsoft Azure certification, along with experience with MIS platforms, RESTful APIs, and version control systems like GIT.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead complex systems development projects aligned with our digital strategy. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to our development team, design and maintain software systems, ensuring seamless integrations and a top-tier user experience. You will champion best practices in security, accessibility, and GDPR compliance, while also researching and implementing cutting-edge tools and technologies. Clear communication of technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders will also be part of your responsibilities.

At Brockenhurst College, we offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Developer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £46,790 to £49,339 per annum (including a £5,000 market supplement), along with opportunities for professional growth and innovation. We are a high-achieving college attracting around 2,800 sixth form students annually, located in the stunning New Forest National Park with a wide range of courses and superb facilities.
