Requirements
Must:
- A relevant IT qualification
- Current experience in an IT support role, supporting current technologies
- Current experience in supporting Apple Mac & PC based systems
- The ability to follow section procedures systematically
- The ability to work with initiative
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of customer care and support
Responsibilities
- Supporting 1st line support in the operation of the IT Services Helpdesk and logging all requests in the helpdesk system
- Providing 2nd line support for staff and students experiencing problems with any operating systems or applications installed on their workstations, including AV equipment
- Escalating unresolved issues to 3rd line support
- Ensuring that the hardware database holds accurate and up-to-date details of each workstations hardware configuration and providing reports on request
- Assisting in the installation or upgrade of computer hardware, software, and network devices
- Performing fault diagnosis and testing of hardware and network cables, and making repairs where possible
- Participating in the organization and implementation of regular maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Taking effective and timely action in the event of any breach in workstation or network security and reporting it to the IT Services Manager immediately
- Arranging, agreeing, and participating in a working rota with other members of the IT Services team to ensure acceptable support levels during evenings, weekends, and outside normal term IT activities

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Services Officer (2nd Line Support) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. We are a high-achieving college located within the stunning New Forest National Park, attracting around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year.
