Must:
We are seeking a Principal iOS Developer with expert-level knowledge of Swift and strong SwiftUI/UIKit skills. You should have experience with computer vision technologies, including Core Image, AVFoundation, and Vision. A deep understanding of multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor others are important for this role. Additionally, a background in regulated healthtech or real-time processing is a plus. We are looking for someone with 7+ years of iOS development experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or principal role, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality production apps.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the architecture and development of a high-performance iOS app designed to measure vital signs through a smartphone camera using computer vision and AI. You will work within ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 processes and support product validation. Mentoring fellow developers and raising engineering standards will be key components of your responsibilities. Collaboration with AI/ML, backend, product, and design teams will also be crucial, as well as driving improvements across testing, automation, and release processes.

The position is remote, with quarterly travel to Southampton. We offer a competitive salary ranging from £80,000 to £100,000.
