Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in Python development, including proficiency in core Python libraries and frameworks.
- Experience in the Public Sector, ideally with the NHS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly in designing and implementing solutions using services like Lambda, S3, EC2, and Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing and analysis.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, allowing for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Utilizing TypeScript, React, and Node in development tasks.
- Implementing data processing pipelines using PySpark for efficient data analysis.
- Integrating with AWS services and utilizing cloud infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
- Conducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
- Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Working collaboratively with the team to continuously improve software development processes and tools.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Python development and AWS services.
Description
We are Brio Digital, collaborating with a leading health tech consultancy to find an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer proficient in Python, AWS, TypeScript, and React. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing innovative health tech solutions within a collaborative and dynamic environment. If you are a talented Python Developer with expertise in AWS and PySpark, we would be thrilled to hear from you.
Please note that this position is Inside IR35 with a daily rate of £500, and we require candidates to pass BPSS checks. The role will involve working in Leeds up to two times a week and is currently set to last until February 2026.
