Must:
I am seeking a proactive and customer-focused 1st Line IT Support Technician to join our growing IT team. To be successful in this role, I need applicants to have:
- A good understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and common desktop applications.
- A basic understanding of network concepts such as DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
- Proficiency in using remote support tools.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A logical problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to manage time effectively and prioritize support tickets.
- (Desirable) Exposure to MacOS, Android & iOS experience.
- (Desirable) Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting or automation.
- (Desirable) Understanding of cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to:
- Provide first line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone and ticketing system.
- Perform troubleshooting on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Support users with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Utilize remote desktop tools to assist users with offsite or remote support needs.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using the IT ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to 2nd/3rd line support when necessary.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up hardware and accounts.
- Contribute to IT documentation and knowledge base development.
