Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a skilled System Analyst / Mainframe Developer with proven experience in IBM z-series mainframe technologies. You should have a strong understanding of PL1, SYNCSORT, DB2, IMS DB, MVS JCL, TSO, JobTrac, ENDEVOR, and File Manager. Additionally, I expect you to have experience interrogating mainframe applications built in the above technologies to support data mapping (e.g., Source to Target data fields). You should have a proven track record in developing codebases in these specified technologies to undertake data extracts based on agreed specifications. Experience in large-scale migration programs is advantageous, and a background in Life, Protection, or Insurance roles is beneficial. Recent experience with PL/I and Syncsort is essential.
Responsibilities
In this role, I need you to immerse yourself in data mapping exercises, working with our mainframe applications to ensure accurate data extraction as per specifications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining codebases that support our data needs and contributing to large-scale migration initiatives. Your expertise will help guide our data-related projects, ensuring compliance with best practices and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Description
This is an initial 6-month contract position with hybrid work options, requiring monthly visits to our office in Lytham. The compensation for this role ranges from £500 to £520 per day and falls outside of IR35 regulations.
