Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager / Lead Product Manager
- Strong track record operating in process-driven, regulated environments
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery, governance, and delivery control
- Excellent experience working closely with software engineering teams
- Commercially astute, balancing value, risk, compliance, and speed
- Energy sector experience is a must (anywhere on the Energy Supply chain)
Responsibilities
- Acting as the primary senior liaison between business leaders and the engineering team
- Owning and evolving the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery priorities
- Translating strategic objectives into clear, structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and Jira artifacts
- Defining and running delivery cadence, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and governance
- Partnering with Engineering to manage dependencies, delivery risk, and change control
- Owning QA and release readiness processes, ensuring consistent production quality
- Ensuring products meet commercial objectives, energy-sector regulations, and internal standards
- Driving continuous improvement of product and delivery processes, tooling, and ways of working
- Challenging scope creep, enforcing prioritization, and introducing structure where delivery starts to drift
Description
We are an established leader in the Energy sector currently in a sustained growth phase, based in Newcastle with a hybrid working model. We offer a competitive salary between £80,000 – £90,000 plus benefits. This role provides a senior seat at the table, where youll own the critical space between commercial intent, delivery discipline, and technical execution, working closely with both senior stakeholders and our in-house engineering team.
