Requirements
Must:
- Background maintaining infrastructure and services across diverse teams
- Experience with virtualised server environments, specifically VMWare vSphere and Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency with Windows Server 2019/2022, including enterprise administration, MCM/SCCM knowledge desirable
- Hands-on experience with datacentre hardware, focusing on enterprise storage and compute
- Strong understanding of security, disaster recovery, and data protection concepts
- Experience in end-to-end documentation of solutions for technical teams and end users
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with multiple stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and support highly available IT solutions across multiple sites
- Support our virtualised server and desktop environment in VMWare vSphere and Microsoft Azure
- Maintain on-premises hardware across multiple UK offices, focusing on storage and compute
- Manage both our on-premises Active Directory environment and our Entra tenant
- Provision and update certificates and DNS for public domains
- Act as an escalation point for the internal IT team, owning critical or high-level tickets
- Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders throughout the ticket resolution process
- Focus on security by promptly addressing incidents and suggesting improvements
- Participate in on-call cover and lead disaster recovery responses during emergencies
