Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, AI, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a Technology Officer or senior leadership role.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology systems, IT budgets, and technical teams.
- Strong background in Python-based ecosystems (Django, FastAPI).
- Experience with AWS and/or DigitalOcean infrastructure management.
- Demonstrated success driving digital transformation, implementing DevOps practices, and leading data-driven initiatives.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset, capable of aligning technology initiatives with business impact.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Act as a key member of the executive team, advising on technical opportunities, risks, and investments.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Manage technology budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficient and sustainable growth.
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential to create a competitive advantage.
- Provide hands-on guidance in architecture, design, and development to ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure a high-quality development process.
- Oversee DevOps, infrastructure, and cloud operations across AWS and DigitalOcean environments.
- Implement best practices in CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve product capability.
- Foster experimentation and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
- Manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors to support product growth and scalability.
