Requirements
Must:
- Relevant IT qualification (e.g., CompTIA A, Level 3 IT diploma, or equivalent)
- Evidence of continuing personal development in IT
- 1-2 years experience in an IT support or junior infrastructure role
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 devices
- Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and basic administration
- Proficiency in hardware builds, repairs, upgrades, imaging
- Knowledge of basic account administration (password resets, permissions)
- Experience with printers, scanners, mobile devices
- Familiarity with documenting work and following IT procedures
- Good working knowledge of Windows 11 workstation support
- Basic administration knowledge of Windows Server (users, groups, shares, permissions)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, WiFi)
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity, printer issues, and application installation
- Willingness and ability to learn and support SQL Server databases, ERP, WMS and middleware systems
- Basic knowledge of backup systems and recovery concepts
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices (phishing reporting, endpoint protection)
- Strong problem-solving ability with good analytical skills
- Clear, confident communicator able to support non-technical users
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage workload in a busy environment
- Team player with a positive approach to supporting others
- Calm under pressure, especially during system outages or production issues
- Ability to travel to local business sites
- Willingness to work occasionally in production/warehouse environments
Responsibilities
- Support the installation and maintenance of infrastructure systems
- Test and verify infrastructure systems to ensure proper and reliable operation
- Connect and set up hardware as required
- Provide support for security and backup procedures, including Disaster Recovery
- Prepare hardware for disposal, ensuring it is stripped and secured
- Support upgrades of hardware and stay up to date with new technology
- Maintain network accounts and passwords as required
- Maintain IP addresses
- Assist in the purchase of technology resources, primarily hardware
- Ensure secure network access and remote access for all users
- Document systems and problem resolution processes
- Maintain IT equipment across sites
- Work with the IT team to manage inventory of all company IT equipment
- Provide user support, advice, and feedback
- Offer on-call support outside business hours
