Requirements
Must:
- Deep knowledge of Cyber Essentials requirements
- Working understanding of ISO 27001 frameworks
- Experience supporting Linux, Windows, and Mac environments
- Coding or scripting skills to automate security checks (beneficial)
- Experience managing build servers and CI/CD infrastructure (beneficial)
- Strong listening and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance security with enablement
- Proactive in identifying root causes and not just quick fixes
- Curiosity and diplomacy are essential
Responsibilities
- Treat security as a design challenge, not a compliance checkbox
- Navigate the tension between regulatory rigor and engineering flexibility
- Consult with team members to find secure ways to achieve their goals
- Support the team in gaining Cyber Essentials certification and ISO 27001
- Promote automation to eliminate manual tasks and improve efficiency
- Foster a culture of open communication and shared responsibility for design and implementation
