Senior Data Analyst

At NZDPU, our mission is to provide a trusted, central source of company-level climate data that is transparent and openly accessible to all. Our efforts commenced in 2022 with the publication of recommendations by the Climate Data Steering Committee for developing a unified, global, open climate data repository. We launched a proof of concept for the Net-Zero Data Public Utility during the UN’s Climate Change Conference (COP28), expanding our reach to over 12,000 companies during London Climate Action Week and ensuring public accessibility. Over the past three years, we have focused on building a unique product—a comprehensive home for a wide array of historical company climate transition-related data, freely accessible to all—and securing our initial data sources. As we set our sights on the next few years, we aim to significantly expand our network of data providers to enhance global coverage and access to the platform. We would love to see candidates with a master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or related fields, as well as experience with Python and SQL. Familiarity with product development processes and modern AI tools for data analysis would be advantageous. Additionally, the ability to read/write in a language other than English would be welcomed.
