Requirements
Must:
- Recently qualified or with a technical background looking for entry-level Data Center role
- Understanding of data center cabling and hardware concepts
- Familiarity with server technologies and applications
- Basic knowledge of networking, switching, and routing
- Awareness of electrical power and IT cabling systems/standards
- Experience in a data center environment is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Monitor our data center and respond promptly to alerts and incidents
- Manage requests for change and incident/issue tickets in the engineering service desk call queue
- Install server racking, equipment, and structured cabling to support client deployment
- Implement solutions for new clients and provide high-quality technical support to live clients
- Install cables and follow client-defined patching plans
- Manage logistics tasks such as collecting deliveries and maintaining inventory
- Facilitate site access for 3rd party providers
- Participate in on-call rota after training (1 in 3) with on-call payment provided
Description
