Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience in core engineering
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining production-quality code (e.g. Python, C#)
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and DevOps-led development
- Knowledge in cloud services, specifically in deploying and running services in Azure
- Experience using managed services (e.g. App Services, Functions, containers)
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Ability to manage environments, secrets, and configurations securely
- Knowledge in balancing cost, performance, and reliability
- Experience working with Azure OpenAI APIs
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and embeddings
- Understanding of guardrails, rate limiting, and failure handling
- Experience integrating AI into existing enterprise systems
- Ability to automate end-to-end workflows, especially with legacy systems
- Understanding of security, permissions, and data sensitivity in regulated environments
- Background in consultancy, scale-up, or internal transformation in a larger organization
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritise high-value AI and automation opportunities
- Design, build, and deploy secure, scalable AI-enabled tools and workflows
- Integrate AI into existing platforms and ways of working
- Partner with IT, Digital, and business teams to embed change
- Iterate based on real usage and feedback
- Establish practical patterns and guardrails for internal AI use
