Requirements
Must:
- Proven hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Terraform or similar)
- Experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bash for automation tasks
- Proven experience leading a platform/cloud team
- Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day platform operations, including monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting
- Work across orchestration, automation, pipelines, cloud services, observability, and security domains
- Lead and manage short and long-term project planning
- Develop and implement cloud governance, security, and compliance
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) improvements
- Provide mentorship and support professional development for the team of cloud engineers

This is your opportunity to lead the engineering direction of a brand-new cloud-native platform within a high-growth UK organization. In this position, you’ll have the chance to shape a modern engineering platform from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with product teams, architects, and stakeholders across the business to drive a lean, high-impact platform. As this is a newly formed team and the platform is greenfield, your voice will be critical in its evolution. We offer a competitive salary of up to £85,000 along with benefits.
