Requirements
Must:
- Strong background and understanding of Azure
- Experience in a software house and product-led environment
- Comfortable operating as a solo subject matter expert (SME)
- Ability to share knowledge and educate the team on best practices
- Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools (e.g., Snyk, BrightSec)
- Knowledge of secure configuration and deployment practices within Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline security controls and testing
- Ability to interpret results from penetration tests
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with external security partners and internal teams
Responsibilities
- Act as the DevSecOps lead, owning application and cloud security practices across the business
- Analyze outputs from SAST and DAST tools, advising development teams on remediation
- Work closely with DevOps to ensure secure configuration and deployment within Azure
- Support and interpret results from penetration tests, ensuring findings are understood and remediated
- Embed security controls and testing into CI/CD pipelines, improving automation and consistency
- Help educate and uplift DevOps and engineering teams on secure practices
- Collaborate with external security partners, audits, and penetration testing providers
- Investigate and support resolution of security issues raised via customers or automated alerts
- Provide security input into customer discussions alongside sales and consultancy teams
Description
We are looking for a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to take ownership of application and cloud security across our modern, Azure-first product environment. This product-focused security role sits at the intersection of development, DevOps, and security, helping teams understand and fix vulnerabilities. Our foundational security measures are strong, with regular external penetration testing and mature tooling in place. We offer a Nottingham-based office with hybrid working, requiring a minimum of two office days per week, and a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 plus benefits. Please note that full UK right to work is required as the successful candidate will go through clearance checking.
