Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or commercial analytics
- Proven ability to work with pricing, margin, or financial data
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools like Power BI
- Comfortable translating business needs into data solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence decision making through insight
- Experience working in large-scale data environments or transformation programmes (nice to have)
- Familiarity with tools such as Phocas, Azure Synapse, or Databricks (nice to have)
- Experience in retail, distribution, or similar sectors (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Act as the link between business stakeholders and data teams, translating requirements into data and reporting solutions
- Analyze sales, pricing, and margin performance, identifying key drivers and actionable insights
- Develop a strong understanding of rebate-driven margin structures and ensure accurate reporting
- Support the transition from legacy tools to modern data models while maintaining reporting consistency
- Design and build scalable dashboards and reports for business users
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to define reusable datasets and support self-serve analytics

We are hiring a Data Analyst for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to play a key role in transforming how our major UK contracts division uses data across sales, margin, and commercial performance.
