Must:
We are looking for a Senior Databricks Engineer with significant experience in Databricks, including Unity Catalog. You should be proficient in Terraform, defining, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure as code. Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, and SQL are essential, along with extensive experience with SQL databases. You should also have expertise in data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow and Azure Data Factory (ADF). Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and related data services is required. We value excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, along with strong communication and collaboration abilities. Experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies is also desired.
Responsibilities
As our Senior Databricks Engineer, you will be operating within an Agile delivery environment. You will work closely with the Data Product Manager and Data Architect to ensure the timely delivery of projects. Your responsibilities will include understanding business strategies and aligning data interpretation accordingly. You will provide technical leadership, breaking down initiatives into manageable features, setting standards, and driving quality in solution delivery.
You will collaborate on designing our data architecture with the Data Architect and lead the build and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for data integration and analytics. Delivering large-scale data processing workflows, optimizing data processing systems, and implementing data quality processes are also key responsibilities. You will manage a small team of Data Engineers, providing line management and technical leadership, while ensuring adherence to governance processes.
