Requirements
Must:
- Senior experience in a Data Engineering role or similar position
- Expert level demonstration of Python
- Experience with Apache Airflow
- Proficient in BigQuery or equivalent
- Knowledge of Linux systems and administration
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools or languages (e.g. Terraform)
- Experience in maintaining/developing CI/CD pipelines
- In-depth understanding of Modern Data Architectures, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Practical experience in the full development lifecycle
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to estimate and deliver on-time
- Higher education degree
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using technologies such as Apache Airflow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into a centralised data warehouse
- Utilize Shell Scripting and Python for automation of repetitive tasks and data manipulation
- Conduct thorough analysis of datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure data quality by implementing validation checks and monitoring processes
- Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for future reference
