Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a confident communicator and a technically capable professional with experience supporting VoIP/UC solutions and a strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals. You should be just as comfortable giving a product demo or delivering a technical webinar as you are diagnosing SIP logs and helping resolve partner queries. Ideally, you will bring:
- A solid background in VoIP / Unified Communications - cloud or on-premise IP PBX, SIP, DECT, and IP phones.
- Knowledge of broadband and WAN technologies (e.g., DSL, LTE), routers, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network switching, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Confidence with technical analysis (SIP traces, PCAPs, logs, etc.).
- Experience in a distributor, MSP, VAR, or vendor support role.
- The ability to present clearly and comfortably in front of an audience.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Consultant, your role will be varied and hands-on, blending technical consultancy, pre-sales support, and training delivery across a range of UC and networking products. You will work closely with our internal sales team, vendors, and channel partners to design, support, and promote effective solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with sales colleagues to scope and propose technically sound UC and networking solutions.
- Delivering product demonstrations and assisting with the technical aspects of sales pitches.
- Supporting webinars, open days, and industry events with solution-focused technical input.
- Identifying and suggesting upsell opportunities based on customer needs.
- Delivering technical product and certification training to partners and internal staff.
- Assisting in the creation of training materials and technical content.
- Planning and running technical workshops and webinars (both virtual and in-person).
- Promoting upcoming training sessions in collaboration with our marketing and sales teams.
- Acting as a technical liaison for key UC vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and certifications across the vendor portfolio.
- Attending vendor briefings and contributing to product lifecycle planning.
- Providing 2nd-line technical support to partners on UC, networking, and security solutions.
- Troubleshooting issues via logs, remote sessions, and lab testing.
- Escalating to vendors where required and contributing to internal knowledge base articles.
