Requirements
Must:
- I require a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- I expect you to have a minimum of one year's placement experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- A strong passion for food, innovation, and product development is essential.
- I need you to possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is necessary.
Responsibilities
- I seek a candidate who will support the NPD Manager in developing innovative new food products from concept to launch.
- You will assist with recipe formulation, sample preparation, and factory-scale trials.
- Conducting benchmarking and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities will be part of your role.
- You will liaise with suppliers to source new ingredients and packaging materials.
- Maintaining accurate records of trials, formulations, and sensory feedback is essential.
- I need you to support cross-functional teams, including Technical, Operations, and Commercial, during product launches.
- Preparing and presenting samples and documentation for internal and customer presentations will be your responsibility.
- Ensuring all products meet company standards for quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness is a key aspect of the position.
- You will need to communicate confidently and work effectively as part of a team.
Description
This is a newly created position within my NPD team, ideal for a recent graduate who is looking to build a career in food innovation. The successful candidate will report directly to the NPD Manager and work closely with Process and Packaging Technologists to bring exciting new food products from concept to launch. The salary for this role ranges from £25,000 to £28,000, with full benefits to be discussed.
