Requirements
Must:
To be eligible for this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in energy or commodity trading, with familiarity with commodity trading analytics use cases.
- The ability to manage workload under time pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- The capability to translate business requirements into a clean technical design.
- Practical working experience with cloud services (Azure preferred).
- Understanding of operational aspects such as high availability, monitoring, security, and robustness.
Additionally, you should meet the following preferred qualifications in at least one area:
*Data Engineering:*
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Knowledge of ETL (extract, transform, load) processes and tools.
- Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
*Web Development:*
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience in building web applications.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with front-end frameworks or libraries (React preferred).
- Familiarity with database systems. Full-stack development experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization, security, and best practices.

Responsibilities
As a Trading Desk Developer, I will expect you to:
- Solve technical problems in real-time, demonstrating a proactive and hands-on attitude.
- Act as the interface between Traders, Analysts, and the clients' technical community.
- Support users in leveraging the data and analytics platform effectively.
- Collaborate with Traders and Analysts to develop fundamental trading models.
- Create user-friendly web applications that facilitate interactions with models and analysts.
- Be a technical mentor for a team comprised of data engineers, developers, and data scientists.
