Senior New Product Developer, Colour Cosmetics

- I will have you react to, identify, and convert market opportunities based on emerging trends, demonstrating strong commercial aptitude in sizing opportunities at both macro and micro levels. - You will manage the NPD process from initial trend concepts to order, working cross-functionally across all aspects of the business including R&D, technical, and design. - Your role will include concept development, offering personalized private label solutions to clients, including initial concept cads and final range look and feel. - I will expect you to develop range plans, creating briefs for design teams and customers. - You will be responsible for product architecture, including copywriting for formulation developments, key ingredient call outs, and line up presentations. - Briefing in new formulation developments based on client requirements and working closely with in-house chemists to create skincare and colour cosmetic formulations will be part of your duties. - You will collaborate with the regulatory team to address challenges and technical issues surrounding formulation developments, communication, and specifications. - Sourcing components and formulations from far east and UK factories will also fall under your responsibilities. - You will prepare product costings for Account Managers to quote and manage the sample process with internal teams and our factories. - Additionally, you will oversee the management of development critical paths, coordinating across teams to ensure project deadlines are met before handing over to merchandising teams. - Fostering strong relationships with Account Managers and merchandising teams will be key to your success in delivering product lines.
