Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with proven experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune. Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure AD and basic IaaS/PaaS concepts, is essential. Additionally, I expect you to have scripting experience, preferably in PowerShell, though knowledge of Bash, Python, or other languages would be a plus. Familiarity with backup and replication technologies such as Veeam, Acronis, Datto, or similar tools is necessary. A good understanding of networking principles (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN) and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are also required. Proficiency with VMware and strong communication and documentation abilities will help you thrive in this role.
Desirable qualifications include relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft AZ-104, MS-100, CompTIA, ITIL), experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar), exposure to RMM tools and PSA platforms, and knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to act as a point of escalation for the 1st line support teams, taking ownership of 2nd line technical issues. You will provide both remote and occasional onsite support to clients, primarily within Microsoft-based environments. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, and Teams.
You will write and maintain scripts (preferably PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and enhance service delivery. Additionally, I need you to monitor and manage backup and replication solutions, ensuring their successful execution and conducting recovery testing. You'll document issues, solutions, and processes within internal systems and knowledge bases and collaborate with other team members and vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently. Supporting project delivery such as cloud migrations, security hardening, or infrastructure upgrades is also part of your role. Finally, maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism across all client interactions is crucial.
