Must:
As our ideal candidate for the Data Governance Officer role, you will possess:
- Experience in data governance or data management, ideally within the charity or public sector.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to influence change across teams.
- A passion for ethical data use and a commitment to making a difference through improved information.
- Working knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) and their application to charities.
Responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing, reviewing, and refining the data governance framework, strategy, and vision to ensure alignment with the Charity's Corporate Strategy.
- Enabling and promoting data governance best practices across the charity.
- Contributing to enterprise-wide data management by working closely with data architecture and engineering colleagues, as well as the wider business teams.
