IT Support Specialist

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience working in a network/infrastructure support role - Proven and demonstrable experience in implementing and supporting IT infrastructure including servers, networks (switches), and security (firewalls) - General commercial and operational awareness of impact of business/user requirements - Excellent interpersonal, business management and customer-service skills - Excellent customer service skills, always striving to exceed expectations and improve services to meet customer and business needs - Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical terminology to people with limited or no technical understanding - Ability to work to tight deadlines - Experience of planning and prioritising workload - Proactive and solutions driven - Extensive knowledge and proficient in the use of server virtualisation, preferably VMware - Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 - Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management - Microsoft Exchange Server - Cisco switches including VLAN technology - Firewalls, preferably PALO - Network printing - Network monitoring software - Network cabling (including Cat5 termination) - Understanding of ITIL Framework (desired) - Microsoft certifications and Cisco certifications (desirable but not essential)
