Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a strong technical background in Java and have experience building and supporting high-throughput, production-grade systems at scale. You should have in-depth knowledge of cloud environments, especially AWS, and experience with hybrid deployment models. A practical understanding of container orchestration and application deployment pipelines is essential. Direct experience with authorisation systems and policy enforcement, ideally using policy-as-code frameworks, is highly desirable. You should also have an understanding of authentication systems and how they integrate with broader technology estates, with experience in Ping Identity being a plus. A proven ability to take systems from development through to production support in enterprise environments is required, as well as comfort with data—experience with SQL and data analysis is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will champion the adoption and implementation of authorisation frameworks using your experience in policy-as-code with Styra OPA or alternatives. You'll work across the full stack, from UI to backend and data layers, on systems handling over 24,000 transactions per second with low-latency performance. Additionally, you will support and enhance systems deployed across AWS or Azure/GCP, contribute to application containerisation efforts, and guide teams through the adoption of secure, scalable, and maintainable technology practices with a focus on RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC models. You will also utilize SQL and data processing techniques to inform technical decisions and feature design.
