Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, your accountabilities will include:
- Ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
- Managing the resolution, analysis, and response to system outages, and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
- Developing tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reducing manual workload, and improving system resilience.
- Monitoring and optimizing system performance and resource usage, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, and implementing best practices for performance tuning.
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance into the software development lifecycle.
- Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contributing to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Description
The purpose of this role is to apply software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems and platforms. You may be assessed on key skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk management, change transformation, and job-specific technical skills. The successful candidate can be based in Knutsford (Radbroke Hall) or Glasgow Campus.
