As a potential Workforce Development Lead, I expect you to have the following experience and skills:
- A solid understanding of end-to-end workforce planning processes, including workforce forecasting (STP/MTP/Outlook), hiring optimization, and organizational design.
- Proven support of workforce transformation programs, focusing on the skills of the future, technology modernization, and new ways of working. Experience in managing key workforce development workstreams such as Recruitment, Recognition, Your View, Bar Raiser, and Early Careers is essential.
- Strong ability to balance multiple competing demands while operating with pace and agility in a fast-moving environment. Ample project and resource management capability is key.
- Experience in supporting and influencing senior stakeholders at MD, D, and VP levels. You should be able to build trusted relationships, anticipate needs, maintain confidentiality, and provide guidance effectively.
- Ample analytical capability to produce, interpret, and present accurate and actionable workforce data and insights. Proficiency in presentation and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.
- Experience in people management, both in a matrix management and direct leadership capacity.

Responsibilities
In your role as the Workforce Development Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of major changes and improvements to our IT service management practices by driving strategic initiatives that modernize, transform, and future-proof how we deliver and support technology services.
- Establishing KPIs to measure the success and impact of specific transformation programs, actively monitoring these KPIs to identify ongoing effectiveness and improvement areas within the IT service management framework, and mitigating any potential issues.
- Analyzing emerging IT service management tools and platforms to assess their alignment with our transformation goals and future needs.
- Managing the selection and seamless implementation of new tools and platforms within the IT service management processes, overseeing the migration of data from legacy systems to improve system efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
- Developing and communicating change management strategic initiatives, visions, and goals through workshops and various communication channels to highlight the benefits of modernizing our technology service delivery.
- Prioritizing the bank's initiatives based on their impact on our goals, resource availability, and feasibility, while developing and monitoring a clear execution plan for each transformation project to ensure successful implementation.

The position will be based in our Knutsford office. As part of the leadership team, you will contribute to or set strategy that drives requirements and makes recommendations for change. This includes planning resources, budgets, and policies; managing and maintaining policies and processes; delivering continuous improvements; and addressing any breaches of policies or procedures. If you manage a team, you will define jobs and responsibilities while counseling employees on performance and contributing to pay decisions. You may also lead specialists to influence departmental operations, balancing short-term and long-term goals while ensuring budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. For individual contributors, you will act as a subject matter expert, guiding technical direction, leading collaborative, multi-year assignments, and mentoring less experienced specialists.
