To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working in a Risk & Control Environment. We are looking for candidates with technical skills, specifically those who have delivered technical change across both Digital and Data platforms. Experience in Change and Transformation is crucial. Additionally, highly desired skills include experience working in a Payments environment, strong Stakeholder Management abilities, Business Acumen, and Strategic Thinking. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as strong experience in project management, stakeholder management, planning, and job-specific technical skills.

Responsibilities

As a Scrum Master at Barclays, your primary responsibility will be to manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed time, budget, and quality requirements. Your key accountabilities will include: - Managing the delivery, resource allocation, and improvement of complex technical project capabilities using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and executing sprints. - Collaborating with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trials, proposing technically feasible solutions while addressing effort and timeline expectations. - Working closely with software engineers, quality teams, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features aligned with the bank's objectives, regulations, and security policies. - Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges. - Managing change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that vendor relations involved in technical projects meet agreed terms. - Staying updated on the latest industry technology trends to evaluate and adopt new approaches for improving outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and growth.

In this role, you will have an impact on the work of related teams within the area and will partner with other functions and business areas. You will take responsibility for the end results of your team’s operational processing and activities, escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately, and embed new policies/procedures designed for risk mitigation. You will advise and influence decision-making within your area of expertise and take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to your work. It’s essential that you deliver your work in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
