To be successful as a Salesforce Technical Lead, I am seeking candidates with hands-on Salesforce experience, leadership experience, and familiarity with test-driven development. Highly valued skills include Salesforce Certifications—specifically in sharing, visibility, and security—as well as test automation and UI/UX design experience. Additionally, the ability to translate both simple and complex user requirements into functional and actionable software within the Salesforce environment is crucial. Candidates may be assessed on critical skills relevant for success in this role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology, alongside job-specific technical skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies that provide vital business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Your accountabilities include delivering high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. You will ensure that the code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Collaboration is key; you'll work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. I also expect you to participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and stay informed of industry trends to foster a culture of technical excellence. You will need to adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing to ensure robust code design, readability, and reliability.

This role is based in our Knutsford campus, and the purpose is to support the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. As an Assistant Vice President, you will consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to help resolve escalated issues. You will identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies in line with our control and governance agenda. In addition, you will engage in complex data analysis to creatively solve problems and communicate intricate information clearly. I expect you to influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes while demonstrating the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship.
