Principal Oracle Application Database Engineer Toft

In this role, I expect you to build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support our applications and data systems, leveraging hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as necessary to ensure that the infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and secure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. Key accountabilities include: - Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring reliability, performance, availability, and user-friendliness. - Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages promptly, utilizing data to drive down mean time to resolution. - Automation: Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual interference, utilizing software scripting and coding practices. - Security: Enforce secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other threats to safeguard hardware, software, and data from unauthorized access. - Teamwork: Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. - Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, contributing to our technology communities to promote a culture of technical excellence and growth.
