As a Lead Engineer, I am looking for candidates who have:
- Proficiency in programming with Python
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Bedrock, Lambda, S3, Lex, and CloudWatch
- A background in evaluating LLMs and optimizing prompts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in cross-functional teams
- A passion for mentoring and developing team members, including identifying talent gaps and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Additional valued skills include:
- Experience developing AI applications within a regulated organization
- Knowledge of data engineering and DevOps concepts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab Runners, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with Docker and container-based deployments to ECS and EKS

Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to:
- Lead and manage engineering teams effectively, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee project timelines, team allocations, risk management, and task prioritization to ensure successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
- Mentor and support the professional growth of team members, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to boost efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
- Collaborate with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring a cohesive approach to product development.
- Enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to guarantee the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Description
This position will be based out of our Radbroke or London/Shoreditch campus. As I look for a candidate to fulfill the role of Assistant Vice President, I am seeking someone who can consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. You’ll need to identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures that align with our control and governance agenda.
I expect you to take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls related to your work, performing tasks that require an understanding of how different areas coordinate and contribute to our organizational objectives. You will also engage in complex data analysis from various internal and external sources, solving problems creatively and effectively, all while effectively communicating complex information to stakeholders.
