Requirements
Must:
As a Core UI Platform Developer, I must possess strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and either Angular or React. I should have solid experience in developing scalable, data-intensive applications using grid components such as ag-grid. I need to demonstrate strong CSS/SASS skills for custom design implementation and have a good awareness of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Git, Unit/Automating Testing, and JIRA. Familiarity with OpenFin/FDC3 platforms or micro-frontend architectures is a plus, as well as a positive attitude and willingness to learn about Finance. Additionally, any experience with charting libraries or components, particularly D3.js, will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
My main focus will be on designing, developing, and improving software by utilizing various engineering methodologies that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. I will be accountable for the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring that the code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration will be essential — I will work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. I will also participate in code reviews, adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, and implement effective unit testing practices to ensure code design and reliability.

I will be based out of our Canary Wharf office, engaging in complex analysis of data from multiple sources and collaborating closely with other business divisions. If I have leadership responsibilities, I am expected to advise and influence decision-making while leading a team to deliver impactful work across the business function.
