Requirements
Must:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage directly with business users
- Proficient in Core Java and Spring Framework with hands-on development experience
- Strong background in server-side microservices architecture utilizing real-time messaging frameworks
- Solid understanding and practical skills in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting fundamentals
- Advanced SQL capabilities with expertise in stored procedures and database optimization
- CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitLab (highly valued)
- Prior exposure to prime brokerage and/or funding/settlements business domain (highly valued)
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies to provide capabilities for our customers and colleagues
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organizations technology communities
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implement effective unit testing practices for code design, readability, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions to influence decision-making and support operational effectiveness
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of governance
