To be successful as a Data Protection Engineer, I am looking for candidates who have experience with: - Rubrik - Coding in languages such as Go and Python - Knowledge of writing code and application patterns such as circuit breakers, self-healing, and failover techniques - Past experience in SRE, resiliency, or DevOps - Knowledge in testing, alerting, logging, monitoring frameworks, chaos engineering, and how to build observability into applications Candidates may be assessed on critical skills relevant for this role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology competencies, along with job-specific technical skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will expect you to: - Build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing. My aim is to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. - Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technology by applying software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. - Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions that fulfil business requirements while ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. This includes identifying appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimization, and resourcing needs. - Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages, using data to drive down mean time to resolution. - Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilizing software scripting or coding disciplines. - Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks and unauthorized access. - Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives using a data-driven approach. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to our technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Description

As an Assistant Vice President, I will also expect you to consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. You should identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies or procedures in support of our control and governance agenda. Taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to your work will be essential. Additionally, you will perform work that aligns with other areas, requiring an understanding of how those areas contribute to achieving our organization's objectives. You will engage in complex data analysis from various internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively, communicating complex information clearly.
