Requirements
Must:
To be successful as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at Barclays, you should have experience with:
- Technical proficiency in Computing fundamentals (Networks & protocols, OS, programming & scripting).
- Fundamentals in Information Security (Vulnerabilities, Cryptography, Network Defense, DFIR).
- Technical Cyber Threat Intelligence experience.
- Industry experience in a SOC/CTI/Cyber security-related role.
Additionally, we highly value the following skills:
- CTI/Cyber relevant certification.
- Ample knowledge in Threat Tracking.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in this role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Monitor the performance of operational controls, implement and manage security controls, and consider lessons learned to protect the bank from potential cyber-attacks.
- Manage security monitoring systems, including intrusive prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect, and block potential cyber security incidents, ensuring a prompt response to restore normal operations with minimal system damage.
- Identify emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques, and technologies to detect/prevent incidents while collaborating with networks and conferences to gain industry knowledge and expertise.
- Manage and analyze security information and event management systems to collect, correlate, and analyze security logs, events, and alerts/potential threats.
- Triage data loss prevention alerts to identify and prevent sensitive data from being exfiltrated from the bank's network.
- Manage cyber security incidents, including remediation and driving incidents to closure.
