Must:
To be successful as a C#/SQL engineer at the AVP level within our Fixed Income, Cross Market Pre Trade area, we expect you to have:
- Experience with fixed income products and systems.
- Proficiency in the C# programming language and expertise in SQL.
- Knowledge of high throughput-based computing and data analysis.
- Additional highly valued skills may include cloud experience (both public and on-prem) and Python programming.
- Familiarity with risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills will also be assessed.
Responsibilities
In the role of AVP C# developer, you will:
- Design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies that enhance our business, platform, and technology capabilities.
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions utilizing industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Ensure that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Actively participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to our organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
