Requirements
Must:
- Experience with Permissions and Profiles where policy as code is used to define a set of permission roles, while also using other security model paradigms such as Relationship Based Access Control (ReBAC), Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), and Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Experience with Java, BDD testing concepts, and Public Cloud (AWS)
- Understanding of authorization and authentication technologies such as Policy as Code, IAM, IAM solutions
- Willingness to constructively disrupt and challenge the norm
- Strong relationship-building skills, patience, and resilience to change current thinking and working practices
- Ability to translate technical concepts and solutions to both non-technical and technical teams without losing the expectations
- Experience with Ping solutions (PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities.
- Deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to our technology communities.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
- Consult on complex issues and provide advice to support the resolution of escalated issues.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.

Join us as an Adoption Software Engineer at Barclays, where we are building a new Digital Platform capability to enhance our digital offering with a strong emphasis on customer experience. In this exciting role, you will adopt a Product Operating Model mindset, collaborating with various lines of business to address their needs through solutions, rapid prototyping, and proof of concepts. This position will be based in our Glasgow or Knutsford office, and we are looking for innovative thinkers who thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
