Must:
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working in a telephone-based support team utilizing remote control technologies. You should possess outstanding communication skills to deliver accessible advice effectively. A self-motivated individual, you should be able to work proactively without supervision. A comprehensive knowledge of PCs and Microsoft products is essential, and an understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and smartphone email configuration would be beneficial. Additionally, a full UK driving license is required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide technical support for our employees across the UK, assisting them over the phone. You will act as the point of contact for both first and second line support and interact with users from various departments, each with differing levels of technical knowledge. Your responsibilities will include recording, monitoring, and following up on support calls to ensure problems are resolved swiftly and accurately. You will also identify when an issue requires third-party resolution and outsource this service as needed. Furthermore, you will support Barchester's PC, server, and network update and implementation projects.

Our IT Help Desk team plays a crucial role in supporting colleagues across our multi-site business, and we are continually growing and improving our services. This position is a permanent opportunity, predominantly based in our office in Inverness, with a permanent shift pattern from 8 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5:30 pm. Occasional travel may be necessary, including short stays away from home.
