Requirements

Must:
- Ambitious and driven to build a career as a Network Engineer. - Customer service experience is beneficial. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - A background in IT; previous experience in a Level 3 Apprenticeship is beneficial. - Knowledge of networks in IT. - Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. - You must have the right to work in the UK and valid residency status to apply for this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

- Install and configure physical and virtual elements of a network through Cisco and Unify UDM. - Configure hardware such as virtual firewalls, switches, and routers. - Upgrade network performance by balancing it and configuring firewalls to update systems. - Record network system performance on the ticketing system. - Create and access Wi-Fi documentation, network diagrams, client service plans, hardware directories, and recovery plans for the client's network. - Communicate with a range of stakeholders through face-to-face site visits, email communications, phone calls, or by responding to networking tickets.

We offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience alongside industry experts, mastering the latest technologies and building a solid foundation for a successful career in network engineering. As we enter a growth phase through the convergence and proliferation of technology, you'll work on a variety of IT, voice, and system transformation projects, managing the delivery of services to clients ranging from start-ups to SMEs across a 100-mile radius. During your apprenticeship, you will work towards your Level 4 Network Engineer qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. We provide full training and support through your workplace mentor and the Baltic team. Our salary ranges from £18,000 to £22,000 per annum, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and occasional overtime required. You will receive 20 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, along with company events, a pension scheme, performance bonuses, Christmas bonuses, and annual bonuses.
